Toasted Muesli


  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup wheatgerm
  • 1 cup all bran
  • 1/3 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup pepitas (pumpkin seed kernels)
  • 1/3 cup coconut flakes or shredded
  • 1/3 cup chopped dried apricots (optional
  • 1/3 cup chopped dried dates (optional)
  • 1/3 cup slivered almonds (optional)
  • 1-2 tablespoon honey 
  • 1 tablespoon 
  • 1 tablespoon warm water


Instructions and steps:
Step 1 Preheat oven to 160°C. Line a large baking tray with baking paper. Place oats, wheatgerm, all bran, pepitas and sunflower seeds into a bowl. Mix together honey, olive oil and water. Pour into bowl with dry ingredients. Mix well. Spread evenly on prepared tray. Transfer tray to oven; toast mixture for 20 minutes. Tossing mixture every 5 minutes to ensure even toasting.

Step 2 Pour mixture into a large bowl; coconut and dried fruits. Allow to cool. Store muesli in an airtight jar.
